Double JJ Ranch to hold job fair.

ROTHBURY — Double JJ Resort will hold a job fair on Friday, April 22 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. The job fair will continue on Saturday, April 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will be held in the Dancehall on Double JJ’s property.

Up to 100 positions, mostly part-time season, are available in the following areas: Life guards aged 18 and up (Double JJ provides paid training), general staff, grounds crew for the Thoroughbred Golf Course, restaurant wait staff, kitchen staff — including banquet staff. Positions are also available in housekeeping and front desk staff, as well as in activities. Those who have horse riding experience will be considered for the equestrian staff.

Entertainment is a vital part of Double JJ’s business. Double JJ is also seeking people to assist guests with children’s games and activities throughout the day and to provide guests with entertainment in the evening. Those interested should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of audio equipment and/or theatre, as you may participate in side shows or skits. Applicants should be able to bend, kneel and lift up to 30 pounds and also have knowledge of BB guns and archery.

Certain maintenance positions are open for those with two to three years experience in HVAC and Certified electricians with three to five years of experience.

All applicants dealing with the public should possess an outgoing personality and have good communication skills.

Those who are not hired immediately as a result of Double JJ’s job fair may be considered for future positions opening throughout the summer.
