WSCC to hold Food for Thought conference.

VICTORY TOWNSHIP (Mason County) – West Shore Community College will host the fourth annual Food for Thought Conference on Friday, April 8, from 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. in the Administrative and Conference Building.

The Food for Thought Conference is a partnered effort between the WSCC Sustainability Movement and Student Senate and will include faculty, student and community member presentations and panels, a lunch prepared by WSCC’s catering service, Simply Catered, and a make-your-own rain barrel workshop.

“This year, the Food for Thought Conference has developed a focus on local individuals who have created a lasting impact for the community. Our speakers will share their experiences and knowledge on a variety of different aspects, each relating back to our complex relationship with food and the environment,” said Lindsay Scheffler, president of the WSCC Sustainability Movement.

To attend the conference, individuals should register by Friday, April 1. Registration costs $5 and includes lunch. Registration for WSCC students is free.
