HHS Drama Club presents ‘Once Upon a Mattress’ this weekend.

HART — The Hart High School Drama Club presents “Once Upon a Mattress” this weekend, a comedic, musical retelling of the classic “Princess and the Pea” fairy tale.

The princess — originally portrayed on Broadway by Carol Burnette — will be played by Isabel Vela, and the royal family will be played by Liz Eisenlohr, Luis Lugo and Andrew Wiegand. Other notable characters include Anna Walsworth as Lady Larken, Wade Schulz as Sir Harry, Tessa Holzwart as the minstrel, and Rachel Wade as the jester.

Join the cast in a raucous, high-energy plot to lift a spell and find the prince a bride.  

Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students 18 and under. As a special promotion, Hart Middle School students may attend for free if each student is accompanied by a paying adult. All tickets are available at the door. Show times are Friday, Feb. 19, and Saturday, Feb. 20, at 7 p.m. and Sunday,  Feb. 21, at 2 p.m.
