HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

– Russell John Masse, 52, of 602 Melendy St., Ludington, was found guilty Jan. 11 of operating under the influence of liquor (OUIL) with an occupant under 16 years of age. He was sentenced to 36 days in jail with credit for 36 days served; six months probation; outpatient treatment; $1,900 in fines and costs; one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; not to purchase/possess a firearm; no alcohol/drugs; and is subject to searches, counseling and testing as required by probation officer. One count of second-offense driving while license suspended (DWLS) was dismissed. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Robin Kathy Wells, 50, of 304 W. Evergreen Lane, Scottville, was found guilty Jan. 11 of second-offense operating while impaired and sentenced to one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; $1,830 in fines and costs; outpatient treatment; six months probation; not to purchase/possess a firearm; no alcohol/drugs; and is subject to searches, counseling and testing as required by probation officer. One count of third-offense OUIL was dismissed. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Laurie Poppen, 55, of 7507 W. Stone Rd., Shelby, was found guilty Feb. 1 of operating while intoxicated and sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $1,140 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating with a high blood alcohol content (BAC) was dismissed.

– Matthew Allen Schwing, 43, of 3330 Murl St., Muskegon, was found guilty Feb. 1 of operating while intoxicated and sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $1,155 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of OUIL with an occupant under 16 years of age was dismissed.
