HPD investigates ShopKo embezzlement.

HART — The Hart Police Department investigated an embezzlement case at ShopKo Hometown, at 2278 N. Comfort Dr., that involves the theft of approximately $1,500, according to Hart Police Chief Dan Leimback.

A 28-year-old Hart woman is the suspect, Leimback said, and the embezzlement allegedly occurred over a three-month period from November of 2015 through the end of January. Police received the complaint last Thursday, Jan. 28, the chief said, and HPD has submitted a report to the Oceana County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
