Hesperia man faces meth lab charges.

SSCENTHART — A 33-year-old Hesperia man was arraigned Monday, Jan. 25, in 78th District Court on two felony charges of operating/maintaining a laboratory involving methamphetamine.  

Darin Colt Cunningham faces up to 10 years in prison and/or a $100,000 fine for each count.  

The charges are the result of an investigation conducted by State, Sheriffs’, Chiefs’ Enforcement of Narcotics Team (SSCENT) detectives that started in September of 2015, states a SSCENT press release. During the investigation, SSCENT executed a search warrant at a residence in the 8900 block of Newfield Drive in Newfield Township. While searching the property associated with the residence, several items used in the manufacturing process of methamphetamine were located.

Cunningham is currently lodged in the Newaygo County Jail on an unrelated charge. His bond has been set at $5,000/10 percent.
