Snowmobile crash, fugitive arrest, forgery among police activity.

Friday, Jan. 15, 2016:

7:50 p.m., (Michigan State Police, Hart post), a 48-year-old Shelby man was arrested on an outstanding fugitive warrant, First Street, Village of Shelby.

Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016:

12:08 p.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), a 29-year-old Livonia man was moderately injured in a crash involving two snowmobiles on the Hart-Montague William Field Memorial Rail Trail north of Winston Road in Grant Township. The man, who was operating a 2008 SkiDoo, was traveling south on the rail trail and turning left onto Trail 191 when he was struck by a southbound 2015 Yamaha Viper operated by a 27-year-old Garden City, Michigan man. The driver of the Viper told police that he didn’t see the SkiDoo turning due to snow being kicked up by the snowmobile, according to the accident report. No citations were issued, according to the report, and both snowmobilers were wearing helmets.
