Probation violation leads to prison term.

HART — A 22-year-old Hart man was sentenced to 14 months to two years in prison in 27th Circuit Court Wednesday, Jan. 20, for violating a condition of his probation when he was in the presence of his girlfriend’s children.

Cody Tyler, of 666 W. Filmore Rd., who is convicted of a high-court misdemeanor of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct (CSC), pleaded guilty Wednesday to violating his probation. A condition of his probation is that he is to have no contact with anyone less than 17 years of age, and he testified that he was in the presence of his girlfriend’s young children.

Tyler received credit for 344 days served in jail.
