FERRY TOWNSHIP — A 46-year-old Ferry man faces charges of felonious assault and possession of marijuana following an altercation, Dec. 23, in which he allegedly threatened his girlfriend and her teenage son with a knife and had five bags of marijuana in his possession when he was arrested, according to Lt. Craig Mast of the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office.

David Theodore McDaniel has been arraigned in 78th District Court and remains lodged in the Oceana County Jail on a $15,000/10 percent bond, Mast said.

The incident occurred in the 3900 block of East Johnson Road, and it was reported at 6 p.m. When McDaniel was placed in custody, deputies found the marijuana on him, Mast said.
