NEW ERA — The 21-year-old Shelby man who crashed through a brick wall and smashed into four cars at the Meyers Chevrolet car dealership last month was arrested Dec. 18 on a warrant issued by the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office for operating with a high blood alcohol content (BAC), also called “super drunk driving,” said Lt. Craig Mast on Monday.
The suspect will not be named until his arraignment, which is scheduled for Jan. 6 at 10 a.m. in 78th District Court.
He was hospitalized for a broken femur and was not immediately arrested because of his injuries.
Dealership owner Scott Meyers estimated damages totaling $100,000.
