College to hold financial aid workshops at area schools.

wscc logo-c-goodVICTORY TOWNSHIP – West Shore Community College’s Financial Aid Office will host a series of financial aid workshops for prospective college students and their families. High school students as well as adults considering going to college are encouraged to attend a workshop.

Onekama High School will host a workshop on Dec. 7, at 7:30 p.m.

The Ludington Area Schools workshop will be held in the Ludington High School Library on Dec. 9, at 6:30 p.m.

On Dec. 14, at 6:30 p.m., Manistee Catholic Central High School and Manistee High School will meet in the Manistee High School Library.

Baldwin High School will hold its workshop on Dec. 16, at 5 p.m.

Bear Lake School will host a workshop on Jan. 14, at 6:30 p.m. and Brethren High School is the site for the final workshop on Jan. 18, at 6:30 p.m.

College officials will be offering information that is applicable to attendance at any college, university, or other post-secondary institution. General information will also be covered about financial aid with detailed instructions on how to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online.

For those unable to attend a workshop, the financial aid office, located in the Schoenherr Campus Center, is a resource for more information or to assist students in completing the FAFSA application.  Students are encouraged to make an appointment.
