Rothbury woman struck by car, killed

MSPOTTO TOWNSHIP — A 54-year-old Rothbury was killed after being struck by a car as she was walking on South 116th Avenue near McKinley Road Wednesday, Nov. 25, at 6 p.m., according to the Hart post of the Michigan State Police.

Police are not releasing the woman’s name or any details about the driver, but stated that alcohol was not a factor for the driver. The accident report is still being written, according to MSP. After the report is completed, it will be submitted to the Oceana County Prosecutor’s Office for review, according to the state police.

No other details about the accident are currently being released.
