OTTO TWP. — The 54-year-old Rothbury woman who was killed after being struck by a car Wednesday, Nov. 25, while walking in the roadway on 116th Avenue near McKinley Road has been identified by the Hart post of the Michigan State Police as Judith Schram, according to a press release issued Monday morning, Nov. 30.
“Troopers from the Michigan State Police, Hart Post, were dispatched to a single-vehicle and pedestrian crash on 116th Avenue near McKinley Road Wednesday evening shortly after 6 p.m.,” the press release states. “Troopers arrived on scene and determined that a passenger vehicle had struck a pedestrian walking in the roadway. CPR was initiated by passing motorists and continued by troopers and EMS personnel. The pedestrian was identified as 54-year-old Judith Schram from Rothbury. Attempts to revive Schram were unsuccessful, she was pronounced dead on scene.
“The crash investigation is still ongoing. Speed is not believed to be a factor. The driver of the vehicle is cooperating with authorities,” the press release states. Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office, Grant Township Fire Department, Grant Township Rescue and Oceana County EMS.
