ELBRIDGE TWP. — The 28-year-old Hart woman who allegedly assaulted her boyfriend’s wife with a vehicle and waved a handgun at her Sunday, Nov. 1, in the 3900 block of East Hazel Road has been arraigned in 78th District Court on charges of felonious assault – using a motor vehicle as a weapon and malicious destruction of property, said Oceana County Prosecutor Joseph Bizon.

Jackie Lee Knight, of 790 S. 144th Ave., posted bond and has been released from the Oceana County Jail, Bizon said, and the gun has been placed into evidence at the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office.

“She was upset with her boyfriend who went to stay with his wife and began honking her horn. She threw a rock through the slider window and began waving the gun around,” Bizon said. “It is unclear if she aimed or pointed it (at the wife), but she tried to hit her with her car.”

The woman came to the home to confront her boyfriend and his wife, OCSO Lt. Craig Mast previously said, bringing a handgun that is owned by the boyfriend.
