27th Circuit Court sentencings

HART — The following were sentenced this week in 27th Circuit Court:

Wellington

Wellington

David Allen Wellington, 21, of 2800 Buchanan Rd., Shelby, was sentenced Oct. 26 to 18 months to five years in prison, with credit for 335 days served in jail, for probation violation. He was also ordered to pay $180 in fines and costs, and his probation was revoked. His probation stems from a May 28, 2013 conviction of gross indecency between a male and female, and his violation occurred July 7 and 8, 2015, according to his court file.

Joseph Raymond Kokx, 68, of 2346 W. Madison, Hart, was found guilty Sept. 14 of

delivery of marijuana. He was sentenced Oct. 26 to nine months in jail to be served at the court’s discretion with 30 days up front beginning Oct. 29, with credit for one day served; $500 in fines and costs; one year probation; and driver’s license suspended six months/restricted after 30 days.

Mitteer

Mitteer

Samuel Benjamin Mitteer, 26, of 3101 S. 72nd Ave., Shelby, was found guilty Sept. 28 of third-offense operating under the influence of liquor (OUIL). He was sentenced Oct. 26 to six months in jail with credit for 23 days served; work release allowed; two years probation; and $758 in fines and costs.
