HART — The case against a 20-year-old Hesperia man facing charges of carrying weapons with unlawful intent; felonious assault; and assault and battery is set for trial in 27th Circuit Court, Oct. 29 and 30.

Alexander Lee Evelhoch, of 5615 E. Baseline Rd., appeared in court with his attorney Timothy Hayes this week for a final pre-trial hearing. Oceana County Prosecutor Joseph Bizon said a plea arrangement was offered in which Evelhoch would plead guilty to Count 1, and the other two counts would be dismissed. Evelhoch rejected the offer, and the case is now set for trial.

“He was at a party, and things got a little heated,” Bizon said. “He threatened the home owner.”
