HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:
– Brandon Lee Burkett, 25, of 6315 S. Ryerson Rd. Twin Lake, was found guilty Sept. 21 of operating while impaired. He was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; $1,580 in fines and costs; six months probation; outpatient treatment; take name off title within 30 days or immobilize within 90 days; not to purchase/possess a firearm; no alcohol/drugs; and subject to searches, testing and counseling as required by probation officer. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of second-offense operating while intoxicated was dismissed.
– Michele Marie German, 41, of 403 Dryden St., Hart, was found guilty Aug. 3 of attempted assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer. She was sentenced Sept. 21 to 10 days in jail with credit for 10 days served; one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $550 in fines and costs. One count of disorderly person – drunk was dismissed.
– Jane Anita Fryer, 48, of 5035 Onsikamme St., Montague, was found guilty Sept. 21 of operating while intoxicated. She was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $1,205 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Alexander Douglas Katt, 29, of 327 Walnut St., Shelby, was found guilty Sept. 21 of operating while impaired. He was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; Impact Weekend (completed); and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating with a high blood alcohol content (BAC) was dismissed.
– Darrell Boyd Cole, 40, of 6929 E. VanBuren Rd., Walkerville, pleaded no contest Sept. 8 to second-offense domestic violence. He was sentenced Sept. 21 to one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; no contact with the victim; six months probation; no alcohol/drugs; not to purchase/possess a firearm; subject to searches, testing and counseling as required by probation officer; and $965 in fines and costs. One count of third-offense domestic violence was dismissed.
– Lucas Antonio Gonzales, 34, of 416 E. Jefferson St., Hart, was found guilty Aug. 3 of second-offense domestic violence. He was sentenced Sept. 21 to one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; six months probation; no alcohol/drugs; not to purchase/possess a firearm; subject to searches, testing and counseling as required by probation officer; and $625 in fines and costs. One count of interfering with electronic communications was dismissed.
– Roderick Charles Sterling, 28, of 11772 Fogg Lake Rd., Montague, was found guilty Sept. 21 of operating while intoxicated. He was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; must complete substance abuse evaluation recommendation; and $1,205 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count alcohol – open container in vehicle was dismissed.
– Gregory Thomas Swiger, 38, of 1704 W. Hansen Rd., Scottville, was found guilty Sept. 21 of operating while impaired. He was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; must complete substance abuse evaluation; and $1,040 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.
– Dale Lee Prause, 55, of 975 Emerson, Muskegon, was found guilty Sept. 21 of third-degree retail fraud. He was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; a $75 fine; and $17 in restitution.
– Scott Allen Robeck, 24, of 3777 E. Loop Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty Sept. 21 of assault and battery. He was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and a $75 fine.
– Fred Ratliff, 45, of 1619 W. 1st St., Scottville, was found guilty Sept. 21 of operating a motor vehicle without insurance. He was sentenced to one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs. One count of unlawful use of license plates/registration/title dismissed.
