PENTWATER — The 18-year-old man who was arrested Monday afternoon by the Pentwater Police Department after jumping from his vehicle during a high-speed chase has been arraigned in 78th District Court on five felony charges.

Valentine Alejandro Segura, 18, of 611 Dowland St., Ludington was arraigned on two separate warrants, according to Oceana County Prosecutor Joseph Bizon.

Michigan State Police obtained a warrant for one count of second-degree home invasion, punishable by up to 15 years in prison and/or a $3,000 fine, and one count of felonious assault, punishable by up to four years in prison and/or a $2,000 fine, Bizon said.  

Pentwater Police Department obtained a three-count warrant for one count of weapons/firearms – receiving and concealing, punishable by up to 10 years in prison and/or a $5,000 fine; one count controlled substance possession of heroin, punishable by up to four years in prison and/or a $25,000 fine; and third-degree fleeing a police officer, punishable by up to five years in prison and/or a $1,000 fine.
