27th Circuit Court sentencings include 3rd-offense OUIL, receiving/concealing, larceny

HART — The following were sentenced this week in 27th Circuit Court:

Miguel Calderon, 54, of 1509 Grandville Ave., Grand Rapids, was found guilty July 20 of third-offense operating under the influence of liquor (OUIL). He was sentenced Sept. 14 to four months up front of a nine-month discretionary jail term; serving weekends beginning Sept. 18 until Nov. 1 when he will remain in jail until his sentence is completely served; two years probation; driver’s license revoked; and $750 in fines and costs. He received credit for one day served in jail.

Mark Anthony Duchemin, 38, of 1544 N. Apple Dr., White Cloud, pleaded “no contest” July 27 to receiving and concealing stolen property $1,000-$20,000. He was sentenced Sept. 14 to serve 30 days up front of a one-year discretionary jail term; two years probation; $1,750 restitution which is joint and several with a co-defendant; and $258 in fines and costs. One count of larceny $1,000-$20,000 was dismissed. He received credit for two days served in jail. Related story here

Trevor William Heistand, 44, of 10721 Parkwood Dr., Montague, was found guilty Aug. 4 of larceny $1,000-$20,000. He was sentenced Sept. 14 to serve three months up front of an 11-month discretionary jail sentence; two years probation; restitution totaling $1,283.67 to David Allen Racing; and $258 in fines and costs. He received credit for one day served in jail. One count of larceny $1,000-$20,000 was dismissed. Sentence is concurrent with Newaygo County case. Related story here
