Truck stolen from city hall parking lot; police seek info

HART — Police are seeking information regarding the theft of a truck that occurred Monday, Aug. 31, at 12:20 p.m. in the city hall parking lot.

The Russell Construction truck is 2002 Ford F-150 Super Cab, said Hart Police Chief Dan Leimback. The words, “Russell Construction,” appear on the side of the white truck, the chief said, and the business phone number, (231) 499-9595, appears on the back.

The keys were left in the ignition when the truck was stolen, Leimback said. The truck has a ladder rack and a topper that is higher than the cab. “We believe it was taken to Muskegon,” the chief said. “Someone saw it going west on Polk Road.”

The truck contained several tools, including a chainsaw. The license plate number is ACB 009.
