Oceana Drive project nears completion

OCEANA COUNTY — Construction on Oceana Drive/Old 31 between M-20 and the south branch of the Pentwater River is nearing completion, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT).

“Work to finish the repaving is expected to be complete early next week, which will be followed by placement of shoulder gravel and final pavement markings,” states MDOT Assistant Construction Engineer Leo Evans.

“Lane closures with flag control will remain in place throughout much of next week, and then will likely not be needed for any additional work after the Labor Day holiday weekend.”
