HART — Hallack Contracting milled the old pavement on Water Street from Johnson Street to Lincoln Street this week, and the sub-base was inspected, according to a newsletter from Hart City Manager Stan Rickard. On Johnson Street, work crews placed the base stone and grading began.

Workers will continue fine-grading; adjusting structures, such as manholes and valve boxes; and finishing up flat work, including sidewalk and driveway aprons. Base course paving should begin next week followed by restoration and final paving.

The electrical contractor began street light installation, and the city electric workers completed overhead electric relocation work on Water Street. Crews will begin installing underground electric cable some time next week.
