HART — Intermittent water outages continue during the current phase of the Johnson/Water Street Project in the city.

“Water main testing is complete,” states Hart City Manager in a “special edition” newsletter released Wednesday, July 29. “Hallack Contracting is tying the new main to the existing water system and connecting water service lines to the new main. There will be intermittent water outages during this phase.

“The affected areas are as follows: Johnson between Riverside and Peach; Riverside between Johnson and Spitler; Orchard between Johnson and Gwen; and Peach between Johnson and Dayton.

“When water service is restored, you may notice some discoloration. Please flush ALL water lines in your home until clear, and avoid the laundry if possible. Homes adjacent to the aforementioned area may also be affected.

“Please contact City Hall (873-2488) if you have questions or concerns about the project.”
