78th District Court sentencings

HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

– James Michael Biesiada, 44, of 4920 Egner St., Sand Lake, was found guilty July 13 of unlawful use of license plates and sentenced to $125 in fines and costs; 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders and credit for time served if imposed. He was also found guilty of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and sentenced to $400 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders and credit for time served if imposed. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of transporting open intoxicants and one count of possession of marijuana were dismissed.

– Janessa Denice Pider, 24, of 1632 Baseline Rd., Hart, was found guilty July 13 of operating while impaired. She was sentenced to $1,055 in fines and costs; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders and credit for time served if imposed. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Betty Jean Flanders, 60, of 10603 128th Ave., West Olive, was found guilty July 13 of operating while impaired. She was sentenced to $1,055 in fines and costs; AHSE; 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders and credit for time served if imposed. Restitution is open for 90 days. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Mary Beth Shaver, 46, of 206 S. 56th Ave., Mears, was found guilty July 13 of DWLS. She was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. Second offense notice dismissed.
