78th District Court sentencings

HART – The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

–      Abad Garcia-Ramirez, 41, of 6207 S. 36th Ave., New Era, was found guilty May 26 of operating with a high blood alcohol content (BAC). He was sentenced to 180 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; $215 in fines and costs; and Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE). Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One felony count of assaulting a prison employee dismissed.

–      Carlos Ramirez, 41, of 150 W. Main St., Apt. 3, Hart, was found guilty June 1 of operating while impaired. He was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $200 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated dismissed.

–      Amanda Lynn Steffes, 24, of 4869 Wayne Rd., Pentwater, was found guilty June 1 of assault and battery. She was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; no contact with the victim; six months probation; $600 in fines and costs; no alcohol/drugs; subject to counseling, testing and searches by the probation officer; and many not purchase or possess a firearm.

–      James William Smith, 40, of 7076 S, Surf Court, Rothbury, was found guilty June 1 of failure to display a valid license. He was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $265 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating a motor vehicle without security dismissed.

–      Benjamin Anthony Kittel, 20, of 1781 48th Ave., Shelby, was found guilty June 1 of operating without a license. He was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $265 in fines and costs. One count of operating a motor vehicle without security was dismissed.

–      Vanessa Regaldo, 23, of 2486 E. Hazel Rd., Hart, was found guilty June 1 of driving while license suspended (DWLS). She was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. Second-offense notice dismissed.

–      Richard Armond Alldaffer, 40, of 5727 S. Cherokee Bend, New Era, was found guilty June 1 of operating while impaired. He was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; AHSE; and $1,040 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

–      Stacey Ann Hetland, 32, of 277 E. M-20, Shelby, was found guilty June 1 of operating while impaired. She was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; must successfully complete counseling she is currently enrolled in; and $1,055 in fines and costs. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

–      Jessica Ruth-Ann Dykema, 32, of 3791 Molly Blvd., Muskegon, was found guilty June 1 of operating while intoxicated. She was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; outpatient treatment; and $1,140 in fines and costs. One count of DWLS dismissed.
