HART — Officers from the Hart Police Department arrested a 41-year-old New Era man for operating while intoxicated Friday, May 15, at 10:30 p.m. at Polk Road and State Street. A 63-year-old Chicago man was also arrested for open intoxicants during that traffic stop.

HPD is waiting to see if a warrant will be issued by the Oceana County Prosecutor’s Office regarding an illegal entry incident that occurred Friday night in the 400 block of Hart Street. People in the home repeatedly told a 45-year-old Hart man to leave the premises. The man left, but apparently returned some time in the night and was found sleeping in the home. Alcohol was a factor in the incident, Hart Police Chief Dan Leimback said.
