Warrant sought for alleged lottery ticket thief

HART — The Hart Police Department is seeking a warrant for the arrest of a man who reportedly stole $400 in lottery tickets from the J&H Family Store, at 4220 W. Polk Rd.

The suspect is observed on the store’s surveillance video stealing the tickets Sunday, May 3, at 11:30 p.m., said Hart Police Chief Dan Leimback. Store personnel reported the crime to police the next day, May 4.

The police report has been sent to the Oceana County Prosecutor’s Office for review, and the suspect may face a felony charge of larceny from a building.
