Walkerville man faces up to life in prison for 1st-degree CSC

HART — A 60-year-old Walkerville man faces up to life in prison for a first-degree criminal sexual conduct (CSC) charge stemming from the alleged molestation of a 7-year-old girl a decade or more ago.

Jeffrey John Parsons, who is lodged in the Oceana County Jail, appeared in 27th Circuit Court Tuesday, May 5, for a pretrial hearing. Parsons’ case is being scheduled for a two-day trial, Oceana County Prosecutor Joe Bizon said.

The victim recently came forward, stating that Parsons molested her 10-12 years ago in Colfax Township, Bizon said.
