HART — National Lineman Appreciation Day is Monday, April 13, and cooperatives across the nation, including Great Lakes Energy, will recognize hard working linemen for their work in challenging conditions to keep the lights on and protect the public’s safety.
“Electric linemen do not often receive the recognition they deserve,” said Great Lakes Energy’s Chief Executive Officer Steve Boeckman. “They work all hours of the day, often in hazardous conditions far from their families, going above and beyond to restore power to their communities. Our linemen, as well as linemen from across the nation, truly deserve this special day of recognition.”
Great Lakes Energy employs 81 linemen who serve 125,000 electric consumers in 26 counties.
