HART — A 26-year-old Muskegon man pleaded guilty in 27th Circuit Court Thursday, April 2, to a 20-year felony of possession with intent to deliver heroin.

In exchange for Kane Alray Burks’ guilty plea, one count of possession with intent to deliver cocaine was dismissed. The incident took place in March of 2014 in Hart Township, Oceana County Prosecutor Joe Bizon said. When asked by Judge Anthony Monton specifically where the drug deal took place, Burks said, “McDonald’s, I think.”

Monton asked Burks who he sold the drugs to, and Burks gave him only a first name. “The person he delivered to was a confidential informant,” Bizon specified.

Burks, who is free on a $15,000 surety bond, is scheduled for sentencing May 27 at 9 a.m.
