Sadie has been found

April 1, 2015

rollover-dog-2HART TWP. — Sadie, the dog that fled the scene of a rollover crash Sunday, March 29, on US-31 near Monroe Road, has been found.

“Sadie has been found, safe and unharmed, but seems a little sore,” stated an email message from LASSI (Local  Animal  Shelter  Support,  Inc.) Wednesday afternoon, April 1. “She has eaten and is resting; then off to the vet. Thank you all for sharing and those who helped search for her.”

A Mason County woman received minor injuries following the single-vehicle crash. The woman was the only human occupant, but two dogs were also in the car. While one dog did not leave the scene, the second dog — Sadie — fled. Rescue personnel attempted to find her.

Sunday’s unseasonably wintery weather caused several crashes in Oceana County, including 11 handled by the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office.
