78th District Court sentencings

HART – The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

– Kimberly Lee Dean, 40, of 2517 Yale Rd., New Era, was found guilty March 16 of operating while impaired. She was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time serve if imposed; must complete substance abuse evaluation recommendation; and $1,040 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of operating while intoxicated and one count of transporting open intoxicants were dismissed.

– Amber Lynn Hawkins, 27, of 1490 W. Baseline Rd., Shelby, was found guilty Jan. 26 of operating with a high blood alcohol content (BAC)/super drunk. She was sentenced March 16 to 180 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; outpatient treatment; and $1,305 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer and one count of controlled substance, possession of marijuana, were dismissed.

– Jose Luis Mendoza-Brito, 20, of 80 N. Michigan Ave., Shelby, was found guilty March 16 of allowing a person to drive in violation and sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $450 in fines and costs.

– Brandy Kay Monna, 42, of 4600 Maple Rd., Manistee, was found guilty March 16 of operating while impaired. She was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); and $1,105 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Kevin Thomas Knowles, 24, of 9420 E. Filmore Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty March 16 of operating while intoxicated. He was sentenced to outpatient treatment; 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $1,205 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Ryan Joseph Anthony, 28, of 406 N. Dickinson, Hesperia, was found guilty March 16 of larceny less than $200. He was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $450 in fines and costs. One count of larceny $200-$1,000 was dismissed.

– Cathy Ann Hunt, 55, of 5340 S. 200th, Hesperia, was found guilty March 18 of unlawful use of a hunting/fishing license. She was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $405 in fines and costs.
