78th District Court arraignments include CSC case

HART – The following were arraigned recently in front of the 78^th District Court Magistrate:

Felony

Chupp

– Joshua Anthony Chupp, Jr., 18, of 516 W. Barton St., Newaygo, was arrested March 5 by the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) for three felony counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct (CSC) – person 13-15. Third-degree CSC is a felony punishable by up to 15 years in prison. The alleged incident(s) occurred Feb. 17 in Greenwood Township, and a warrant was authorized March 4, according to court records. Preliminary conference: March 30 at 3 p.m. Preliminary exam: April 6 at 3 p.m. Bail: $5,000/10 percent.

Misdemeanors

– Ryan Lee Jonassen, 41, of 8215 N. 180^th, Walkerville, was arrested March 5 by the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) for failure to appear on misdemeanor charges of possessing a wild animal without a license; uncased firearm in a motor vehicle; and transporting a firearm without a license. Pretrial: March 24 at 4:15 p.m. Bail: $5,000/cash/surety.

– Anthony Steven Walsworth, 23, of 2105 W. Tyler Rd., Hart, was arrested March 17 by the OCSO for a misdemeanor of operating while intoxicated. Pretrial: April 14 at 3 p.m. Bail: $3,500/cash/surety/10 percent cash.

– Ashleigh Nicole Burns, 28, of 374 W. Shelby Rd., Shelby, was arrested March 10 by OCSO for a misdemeanor of assault and battery. Pretrial: March 24 at 9:45 a.m. Bail: $2,500/cash/surety/10 percent cash.

– Stacey Ann Hetland, 32, of 277 E. M-20, Shelby, was arrested March 6 by OCSO for a misdemeanor of operating while intoxicated. Pretrial: April 21 at 2:30 p.m. Bail: $3,500/cash/surety/10 percent cash.

– Melissa Lynn Hardy, 35, of 2081 S. 186^th, Hesperia, was arrested March 7 by OCSO for a misdemeanor of operating a motor vehicle without security/ no insurance. Pretrial: March 24 at 10 a.m. Bail: $5,000/personal.

– Jesse Charles Clements, 56, of 2940 E. Skeels Rd., Montague, was arrested March 12 by OCSO for misdemeanors of operating a motor vehicle without security/no insurance; unlawful use of a license plate; and operating without a license on person. Pretrial: March 24 at 10:15 a.m. Bail: $5,000/personal.

– Russell John Masse, 52, of 6565 W. Groth Rd., Ludington, was arrested March 5 by OCSO for a misdemeanor of driving while license suspended (DWLS), second offense. Pretrial: March 24 at 10:45 a.m. Bail: $1,500/cash/surety/10 percent cash.
