PENTWATER — The Village of Pentwater will host an initial visioning session Wednesday, March 25, from 2-4 p.m. at at the Pentwater Village Hall to kick of its Sustainable Small Harbor Management Strategy Study Project.
Area residents will be asked to answer “What are the key barriers to Pentwater’s small harbor financial, social and environmental sustainability and what tools will help Pentwater officials create more stability?”
Those in attendance will have a chance to weigh in on the future of Pentwater’s waterfront and will help identify assets linked to existing and potential facilities. Discussion will include pedestrian access, harbor use, the downtown waterfront and commercial areas.
The project is supported by the Department of Environmental Quality’s Office of the Great Lakes, the Department of Natural Resources, Lawrence Technological University, Michigan Sea Grant and the Michigan State Housing Development Authority.
