Sad news for those who anxiously wait for their annual Girl Scout cookies — you’re going to have to wait a little longer. The Girl Scouts of Michigan Shore to Shore Council has announced that there is a delay in delivery of the cookies due to one of the two bakers of Girl Scouts cookies not being able to keep up with increased demand, according to local Girl Scout leader Pam Huether.
Delivery has been delayed until the week of April 13. Huether said many of the Girl Scouts do not have access to their sales records at this time, so informing customers directly has been a challenge. The annual cookie sale is a major fund raiser for Girl Scouts.
