78th District Court sentencings

HART — The following were sentenced this week in 78th District Court:

–      Mitchell David Gamble, 54, of 3926 W. Tyler Rd., Hart, was found guilty Feb. 9 of hunting and fishing – carrying weapon without a license.  He was sentenced to $260 in fines and costs and 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; and credit for time served if imposed. One count of taking an illegal deer was dismissed.

–      Carley Richard West, 42, of 1450 E. Garfield Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty Feb. 9 of operating while impaired. He was sentenced to Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

–      Jodi Lynn Schaeffer, 48, of 169 W. 6th St., Shelby, was found guilty Feb. 9 of third-degree retail fraud. She was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $466 in fines, costs and restitution.

–      Jason Patrick Burrous, 40, of 544 S. 48th Ave., Shelby, was found guilty Feb. 9 of allowing a person to drive in violation. He was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs.

–      Earl Delmont Traxler, III, 47, of 4925 S. 184th Ave., Hesperia, was found guilty Feb. 9 of allowing a person to drive in violation. He was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs. One count of operating a motor vehicle without security was dismissed.

–      Anthony David Ware, 23, of 7986 80th Ave., Rothbury, was found guilty Feb. 9 of operating while impaired. He was sentenced to AHSE; 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

–      Paulette Jean Moon, 50, of 1220 State St., Apt. A, Fremont, was found guilty Feb. 9 of operating while impaired. She was sentenced to AHSE; 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated and one count of alcohol – open container in vehicle were dismissed.
