Domestic assault, hit and run

OTTO TWP. — A 41-year-old Muskegon man was arrested for domestic assault Sunday, Feb. 8, at 8:50 pm. in the southern area of the county by the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies, along with troopers from the Hart post of the Michigan State Police as backup, responded to a cabin near Sand Road, which is near Skeels Road at the Muskegon County line. After an investigation, the deputies arrested the suspect.

In a separate incident, MSP responded to a hit-and-run accident Saturday, Feb. 7, at 6:20 p.m. on 144th Avenue near Tyler Road in Elbridge Township. The vehicle that left the scene reportedly hit another vehicle, causing it to go into the ditch. No injuries were reported. There are no suspects at this time.
