78th District Court sentencings

HART – The following were sentenced this week in 78th District Court:

–      David John Hanson, 43, of 3440 Fruitvale Rd., Montague, was found guilty Feb. 4 of allowing a person to drive in violation and sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $290 in fines and costs. One count of driving while license suspended (DWLS) dismissed.

–      Matthew Joseph Bussing, 28, of 4691 E. Cline, Fruitport, was found guilty Feb. 2 of controlled substance, possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; a $75 fine; must pay fine within six months of release date from jail; and driver’s license suspended one year/restricted 60 days.

–      Darrell Lee Alvesteffer, 53, of 8909 104th Ave., Pentwater, was found guilty Feb. 2 allowing a person to drive in violation. He was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $740 in fines and costs.

–      Martin Troy Geldersma, 48, of 8968 W. Horizon Dr., Baldwin, was found guilty Feb. 2 of malicious use of telecommunications services. He was sentenced to six months discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; not to have any contact with the victim for one year; and $400 in fines and costs.

–      Jessica Marie Escamilla, 25, of 7761 W. Deer Rd., Mears, was found guilty Feb. 2 of allowing a person to drive in violation and sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs.

–      Robert Floyd Raczok, 64, of 944 N. Ripple Creek Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty Feb. 2 of DWLS. He was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs.

–      Frank Charles Rogowski, 60, of 2325 64th Ave., Shelby, was found guilty Feb. 2 of allowing a person to drive in violation. He was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs.
