27th Circuit Court sentencings

HART — The following were sentenced this week in 27th Circuit Court:

Zeckzer

– Darrell Paul Zeckzer, 26, of 1135 S. 160th Ave., Hesperia, was found guilty Dec. 1 of fleeing and eluding. He was sentenced Feb. 2 to one year in jail with credit for three days served; sentence to be served at the court’s discretion with nine months forthwith; and $400 in fines and costs. One count of driving while license suspended/allowing a person to operate with a suspended license, second offense, and one count of controlled substance, possession of marijuana, were dismissed. During sentencing, Judge Anthony Monton noted that Zeckzer has a lengthy criminal history, including a juvenile record. “Your track record is bad,” Monton said. “Here you are 26 years of age, and you don’t have a lot going for you.”

Maynard

– Jeffrey Mitchell Maynard, 18, of 7919 Dickinson Ave., Bitely, pleaded no contest Dec. 8 to attempted assault with a weapon. He was sentenced Feb. 2 to 90 days in jail with credit for one day served; sentence to be served at the court’s discretion with two weekends to be served forthwith; $400 in fines and costs; two years probation; and a $240 supervision fee. One count of assault with a weapon was dismissed.
