Hart woman arrested for embezzling from medical care facility

HART — A 49-year-old Hart woman was arrested Friday, Jan. 16, at approximately 9:30 a.m. for a felony of embezzlement over $1,000/ under $20,000 from the Oceana County Medical Care Facility, said Hart Police Chief Dan Leimback.

The suspect’s name is not being released pending arraignment, and it was unclear whether she had been arraigned yet in 78th District Court which is closed for the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday Monday, Jan. 19.

The crime was reported to police last November; an investigation followed; and a warrant was issued, Leimback said.

Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015:

– 12:05 a.m., a 20-year-old Hesperia man was cited for minor in possession (MIP), Hart Street and Johnson Street.
