78th District Court sentencings

HART – The following were sentenced Monday, Dec. 15, in 78^th District Court:

–      Jeffrey Eugene Riggs, 38, of 2438 W. Lake Rd., Hart, was found guilty Dec. 15 of operating while impaired. He was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail; outpatient treatment; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of operating while intoxicated and one count of alcohol – open container in a vehicle were dismissed.

–      Shana Michelle Harper-Whitlow, 37, of 3201 56^th Ave, Shelby, was found guilty Dec. 15 of operating while impaired. She was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail; outpatient treatment; and $1,105 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

–      Jason Allen Steffes, 29, of 5725 S. Okemos Tr., New Era, was found guilty Dec. 15 of disorderly person – jostling. He was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $450 in fines and costs. One count of assault and battery was dismissed.
