78th District Court sentencings

HART – The following were sentenced this week in 78th District Court:

–      Brian Keith Hopfensperger, 46, of 2080 N. Commerce St., Unit 509, Milwaukee, was found guilty Nov. 18 of allowing a person under the influence to operate. He was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail and $400 in fines and costs. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

–      Steven L. Tumbleson, 54, of 6564 S. 600 W., Warren, Ill., was found guilty Nov. 17 of operating while intoxicated. He was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail; outpatient treatment; and $1,140 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

–      Rodney Aaron Lentz, 43, of 521 Park St., Pentwater, was found guilty Nov. 17 of operating under the influence of liquor (OUIL), second offense. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail; can serve time in January after work season ends; has the option of inpatient treatment in lieu of jail with day-for-day credit; $1,780 in fines and costs; one year discretionary jail; six months probation; no alcohol/drugs; subject to counseling, testing and searches as required by probation officer; and must successfully complete outpatient substance counseling as recommended by evaluation. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of third-offense OUIL was dismissed.
