Amended sentences yield jail terms

HART — Two defendants convicted of drug charges in 27th Circuit Court last September were sent to jail Monday, Nov. 10, after receiving amended sentences.

– John Thomas Pinion, 29, of 589 S. Schenley St., Youngstown, Ohio, was found guilty Sept. 29 of controlled substance, possession of a non-narcotic. He received an amended sentence of 270 days in jail with credit for one day served; sentence to be served at the court’s discretion; 30 days forthwith; driver’s license suspended six months/restricted after 30 days; and $400 in fines and costs. Two counts of controlled substance delivery, schedule 1, 2, 3 were dismissed.

– Zeke Andrew James Francisco, 27, of 256 Center St., Michigan Center, Mich., was found guilty Sept. 29, of controlled substance, possession of a non-narcotic. He received an amended sentence, Nov. 10, of 90 days in jail with credit for one day served; sentence to be served at the court’s discretion; 10 days forthwith; and $400 in fines and costs. One count of controlled substance, delivery/manufacture of marijuana was dismissed.
