Student reportedly brings knife onto bus

SpringsteadHoriz_2HART — The Hart Police Department is investigating a complaint of a boy, approximately 13 years of age, who allegedly brought a jack knife onto a school bus Monday afternoon, Nov. 3.

HPD received the complaint shortly after 3 p.m., said Chief Dan Leimback. No one was injured in the incident, the chief said. “It was found in his possession.” No other details were immediately available.

Monday, Nov. 3, 2014

– 9:30 a.m., assault, Hart Middle School, no major injuries, juveniles involved.

– 1 p.m., malicious destruction of property, John Gurney Park, graffiti on the basketball court.

Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014

– 9:30 a.m., breaking and entering, 100 block of Main St., approximately $100 in cash taken, entry through a door that was not properly bolted.

– 12 p.m., 28-year-old Hart man arrested on a Friend of the Court warrant issued in Kent County, 400 block of State St.

– 7:30 p.m., gas drive-off, Mobile station on Polk Rd., $38 in gas taken.
