Cocaine possession, drunk driving arrests, dune crashes among sheriff’s dept. activity

HART TWP. — Deputies from the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 43-year-old Hart man for operating while intoxicated, second offense, and his passenger, a 44-year-old Hart man, for cocaine possession following a traffic stop Saturday at 2:30 a.m. on North 104th Avenue. Both suspects were lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

Three separate personal injury accidents occurred at the Silver Lake Sand Dunes. The first crash occurred Friday, Oct. 10, at 2:50 p.m.; then another crash Saturday, Oct. 11, at 4:30 p.m.; and a third wreck Saturday at 6:15 p.m. No major injuries were reported.
