Two separate rollover crashes resulting in injuries kept Oceana County emergency personnel busy Monday night.
The first rollover occurred at 9:46 p.m. at 431 Oceana Dr. between Scout and Filmore roads, according to emergency radio traffic. Hart Area Fire Department, Oceana County EMS and the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office were called to the scene. When the accident was toned out on the radio, the dispatcher indicated that the vehicle was back on its wheels, but still partially in the roadway. It was classified as a “priority 2 medical response,” and the dispatcher said the accident victims suffered facial cuts.
Further information will not be available until Wednesday, said OCSO Lt. Craig Mast this morning, as the report had not yet been submitted.
Approximately an hour and a half after the Oceana Drive crash, another rollover accident at Washington Road and 188th Avenue in Colfax Township was toned out on the radio at 10:51 p.m. The dispatcher said it was a rollover accident with unknown injuries. Oceana County EMS, Walkerville Area Fire Rescue and the Hart post of the Michigan State Police were called to the scene. The crash resulted in an operating while intoxicated arrest, state police said this morning. Further details were not available.
