Republican candidates coming to Hart

HART — U.S. Congressman Bill Huizenga (R-Zeeland), State Sen. Goeff Hansen (R-Hart), State Rep. Jon Bumstead (R-Newaygo) and a state supreme court candidate will headline a “Get out the Vote Rally/Brat Fry” sponsored by the Oceana County Republican Party Sunday, Oct. 12  from 4-6:30 p.m. at the Heritage Hall in the Historic District at the corner of Union and Lincoln streets.

Tickets at the door will be $10 per person and $20 per family.

The menu will include Hansenville Brats, potato salad and baked beans from Hansen Foods. County Republican Chair Bob Carr said that members have been encouraged to bring a dish to pass to augment the menu.

“We are delighted to have all these candidates in one place to give people the knowledge to make up their own minds,” Carr said. This event is open to all citizens.
