ROTHBURY — Police released the mug shot of the 42-year-old Rothbury woman who was arrested by the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office after allegedly shooting her husband.

The husband received non-life-threatening injuries from a bullet wound to his arm early Sunday morning.

Angela Wahr-Kevwitch was arraigned in 78th District Court on a felonious assault charge, and bond was set at $25,000/10 percent, said Oceana County Undersheriff Tim Priese. “She shot her husband through a door and struck him in the arm with a .38 caliber bullet,” Priese said.

“The suspect has given conflicting stories as to what occurred, but at one point stated that she thought someone was trying to break in,” Priese said. “The bullet stayed in his arm — thus is not life threatening.” The husband drove himself to Mercy Health Lakeshore Campus in Shelby for treatment.

The woman’s name was initially was released as Angela Kevwitch, but it is actually Angela Wahr-Kevwitch, Priese said.
