Holland man arrested for marijuana growing operation.

COLFAX TWP. — Troopers from the Michigan State Police Hart Post arrested a 37-year-old Holland man in connection with a large illegal marijuana grow operation.

According to a press release from the MSP, a trooper who was investigating a separate incident observed marijuana plants in plain view and search warrants were procured for two different residences.  As a result several dozen mature and very large marijuana plants were seized along with additional paraphernalia and marijuana manufacturing supplies.

The arrested subject was charged with one count of manufacture/ delivery of marijuana, a felony.  The charge has a maximum penalty under Michigan law of four years in imprisonment and up to a $20,000 fine.

This investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be possible.
