Hispanic Heritage Celebration this weekend

hispanic festHART — Celebrate the Hispanic culture this Friday and Saturday with many fun activities, including a queen crowning and fireworks.

Enjoy tasty, authentic Hispanic food from La Fiesta, La Probadita and other vendors.

A live Mariachi band is set for perform Friday from 6-9 p.m. at the Hart Commons, along with other activities.

Live music by Grupo Escolta will take the stage from 4-10 p.m. Saturday. A folkloric dance performance by Ballet Folklorico Sol Azteca begins at 7 p.m. Saturday, followed by the queen crowning at 9 p.m. The celebration’s closing ceremony begins at 9:30 p.m. with fireworks over Hart Lake beginning at 9:45 p.m.
